Background

Mount Holyoke College's Student Government Association needed updated way-finding and collateral for their annual Leadership Retreat. They wanted something that would speak to the retreat's goals of collaboration amongst a diversity of people from different backgrounds. My goal was to design something that was inclusive and embodied the spirit of collaboration in a more abstract way and less intimidating way. Their past retreats had felt very formal and a bit exclusive. Through the use of color, pattern and interlocking and overlapping shapes, I created a sense of motion and connection across a variety of collateral that felt more inviting, playful and open to collaboration.
